Biography

Dr. Motkuri was a post-doctoral research associate (mid-2006 to mid-2008) at the University of Missouri-Columbia with Prof. Fred Hawthorne where he developed carborane based molecular motors. He also worked as Alexander von Humboldt fellow at University of Bonn (2005 to mid- 2006) with Prof. Fritz Voegtle and synthesized Rotaxane based nano-motors (Angew. Chem. 2006, JPC-C 2009). During his doctoral work at IICT-India (1998-2003), Dr. Motkuri developed a new methodology for the synthesis of various macrocyles using zeolites and mesoporous MCM-41 materials. (US Patents: US671297, US6605194, US6524446, German patent: DE10195974T, Chem.Commun 2001)
