Treatability Studies
Treatability studies are conducted to help characterize the physical, chemical and microbiological nature of the liquid and solid waste streams of interest and devise effective, economical ways to treat and manage such wastes to meet the regulatory criteria for safe disposal and/or reuse. These studies are necessary to determine specific treatment and recycling technologies as well as capital and operating costs. Using experiments and computer models in tandem, we help characterize the quality of waste streams and design processes to treat them effectively. Toward this end, we offer the following services:
- Physico-chemical analysis of waste streams
- Microbiological analysis of waste streams
- Water/wastewater quality characterization
- High temperature/high pressure treatability studies
- Produced/process water reuse analyses
- Geochemical and process modeling for treatability design
- Bench scale and pilot scale treatability studies
- Remediation system design and development
- Treatment system design for water reuse
